The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2026 Division III Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week accolades on March 16. Players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
- Andrew Almquist, Goalie, So., Wakefield, Mass. (Babson). 37 saves, 56.9 save percentage, 9.33 goals against average. Almquist totaled 37 saves over three games as #8 Babson went 3-0 on the week with two nationally ranked wins. He stopped 14 shots in a 15-11 win at #17 Amherst, made 12 saves in the NEWMAC opener versus Wheaton, and wrapped up the week by turning away 11 shots in the Beavers' 14-9 victory over #18 Middlebury.
- Joe Holenstein, Defense, Jr., San Diego, Calif. (RIT). 13 ground balls, 2 caused turnovers, 1 goal. Holenstein recorded 13 ground balls, caused two turnovers and scored a goal to lead #13 RIT to two wins. The junior picked up seven ground balls and two caused turnovers in the Tigers’ 10-7 win #9 Gettysburg on Friday, and then scored a goal and had six ground balls in the Tigers’ 22-13 win over #15 Washington & Lee Saturday.
- Drew Knight, Defense, So., Radnor, Pa. (St. Lawrence). 24 ground balls, 7 caused turnovers. Knight tallied 24 ground balls and seven caused turnovers for #14 St. Lawrence at the Callum Robinson Mustang Classic. He recorded career highs of 12 ground balls and five caused turnovers against #10 Dickinson on Friday, and matched his 12 grounders again in a 16-10 win over Stevenson on Saturday.
- Luke Lesizza, Defense, Sr., Fairfield, Conn. (Stevens). 12 ground balls, 4 caused turnovers. Lesizza registered 12 ground balls and four caused turnovers in 2-0 week for #7 Stevens, starting with a career-high eight ground balls to go along with four caused turnovers in a victory over Haverford. He also recorded four ground balls as Stevens surrendered just three second half goals in a come-frombehind overtime win against Union on Saturday.
- Beau Burns, Faceoff Specialist, Gr., Washington, D.C. (Babson). 77.6 percent faceoff percentage (52 of 67), 40 ground balls, 1 goal, 1 assist. Burns averaged over 13 GBs per game and won 77 percent of his face-offs in three wins for #8 Babson. He won 23-of-28 draws and picked up a career-high 18 GBs at #17 Amherst on Wednesday, and was 17-of-26 with 13 GBs in Sunday's come-from-behind win over #18 Middlebury. He also won 12 of his 13 draws in the NEWMAC-opening win over Wheaton.
- Jack Miller, Midfield, So. Hoschton, Ga. (Transylvania). 10 goals, 4 assists, 5 ground balls, 1 caused turnover. Miller started the week with five goals and four assists in a 14-13 (2OT) win over Penn College, including assists on the team’s final three goals of the game to pull out the win. He followed that up with a five-goal outing against DePauw in an 18-12 victory.
- Will Siegenthaler, Midfield, Sr., Elmhurst, Ill. (Ohio Wesleyan). 8 goals, 3 assists, 1 ground ball. Siegenthaler record 11 points in a split of two games vs #6 York (Pa.) and Elmhurst last week. He led the team with seven points (four goals, three assists) in a 16-9 win over Elmhurst, then added four goals on six shots against the nationally ranked Spartans.
- Anthony DiFrancesco, Attack, Fr., Nazareth, Pa. (Wilkes). 13 goals, 2 assists, 12 ground balls, 6 caused turnovers. DiFrancesco led Wilkes to wins over King’s (Pa.) and Mount Saint Mary, tallying 13 goals, two assists, 12 ground balls and five caused turnovers. He tied the program record with seven goals scored and added nine ground balls against the Monarchs in a 21-9 win, followed up by a sixgoal, seven-point effort in an 11-4 win over MSMC.
- Riley Hastings, Attack, Sr., Alpharetta, Ga. (Lynchburg). 13 goals, 8 assists, 4 ground balls. Hastings had a huge week to lead #4 Lynchburg in a pair of nationally ranked battles. He set the program record for points in a game with 13 against #2 Christopher Newport, scoring eight goals including the game-winner with 31 seconds left. He followed up with eight points the next day against #9 Gettysburg, scoring five goals and three assists.
- Casey Ryan, Attack, Jr., San Diego, Calif. (Bowdoin). 7 goals, 12 assists, 4 ground balls. Ryan continued his torrid start to the season for #3 Bowdoin, who picked up a non-conference win at Endicott and a NESCAC victory over Williams. Ryan contributed to 18 of Bowdoin's 33 goals via assist or scores, including seven goals and three assists in the 16-12 victory over Endicott and three goals and five helpers versus Williams in a 17-7 win.
