The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2026 Division I Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week accolades on March 2. Players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
- John Aurandt IV, Midfield, Brighton Mich., Senior, Harvard Aurandt IV recorded a career-high seven points (3g, 4a) in Harvard’s 17-7 victory over Michigan. His four assists were a career best as he helped fuel a 14-2 Crimson run over the final 40 minutes of the contest. Aurandt IV reached the seven-point total in just three quarters.
- Nikko DiPonio, Defense, Bloomfield Hills, Mich., Senior, Utah DiPonio caused four turnovers and collected a team-high seven ground balls in Utah’s 17-10 win over Dartmouth. Utah recorded a program-record 21 caused turnovers in the game. He leads the ASUN with 20 caused turnovers and 3.33 per game.
- Kenan Everhart, Attack, Carolina Beach, N.Y., Junior, Loyola Everhart posted a career-high nine points on five goals and four assists against Towson on Tuesday, then added two goals and two assists in Loyola’s 15-9 win over Providence Saturday.
- Reid Gills, Faceoff, Annapolis, Md., Sophomore, Penn State Gills posted a faceoff win percentage above 80 percent as Penn State won 18 faceoffs against No. 9 Cornell, which entered the weekend ranked third nationally at the position. The 18 faceoff losses were Cornell’s most in a game since Feb. 25, 2025, and just the fourth time the Big Red have lost the faceoff battle since that date.
- Thomas Ricciardelli, Goalkeeper, New Canaan, Conn., Senior, Notre Dame Ricciardelli made a season-high 13 saves while allowing eight goals in Notre Dame’s road win at previously undefeated No. 6 Ohio State. The Irish defense held the Buckeyes to a season-low eight goals, their first single-digit scoring game of the season. Ricciardelli’s final save came with less than 10 seconds remaining to secure the one-goal victory.
- Timothy Shanahan, Attack, Norwell, Mass., Senior, Boston University Shanahan scored a career-high six goals and added an assist for seven points in Boston U’s 14-13 comeback win at Lehigh. He factored in five of the Terriers’ final goals in regulation, assisting on one before scoring three straight to give BU a 12-11 lead and adding the game-tying goal with 2.7 seconds remaining to force overtime. Shanahan also recorded three ground balls and one caused turnover.
- Hunter Smith, Defense, Rochester, N.Y., Senior, Richmond Smith scored a goal to break up a Georgetown 10-man ride while leading Richmond with three caused turnovers and adding four ground balls in the Spiders’ 14-10 win over the No. 13 Hoyas. In the fourth quarter, Richmond held Georgetown to two shots on goal while pulling away from an 8-8 tie by outscoring the Hoyas 6-2.
- Jack Stahl, Defense, Newport Beach, Calif., Junior, Princeton Stahl held Rutgers’ points leader, Colin Kurdyla, to one goal on six shots in Princeton’s 20-9 win. Stahl has now matched up against three consecutive All-American attackmen—Kurdyla, North Carolina’s Owen Duffy and Syracuse’s Joey Spallina—and has held them to two goals on 20 shots combined.
- Owen Tapper, Defense, Whitby, Ontario, Senior, Robert Morris Tapper finished with a game-high five caused turnovers and a team- and career-high eight ground balls in Robert Morris’ win over Bellarmine.
- Brady Wambach, Faceoff, Pittsford, N.Y., Junior, North Carolina Wambach went 21-for-24 at the faceoff X and collected 14 ground balls in North Carolina’s 19-7 win over Brown. The 21 faceoff wins tied his career high and marked his second game this season with 20 or more wins. The 14 ground balls were his fifth game this spring with double-digit ground balls.
