The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2025 Division III Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week accolades on Wednesday, April 23. Players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
1. Joseph Perry, Goalie, Sr., Barrington, R.I. (RPI). 70.9 save percentage, 5.24 goals against average, 22 saves, 4 ground balls, 1 goal. Perry held #9 Amherst to its lowest output of the year, giving up just five goals while making an impressive 12 saves in a 15-1 win. He backed that performance up by making 10 saves and just allowing only four goals in just under 43 minutes of play in a 22-7 victory over Skidmore.
2. Weston Hammond, Defense, Jr., Chattanooga, Tenn. (Roanoke). 1 goal, 3 assists, 11 ground balls, 6 caused turnovers. Hammond scooped 11 ground balls and caused six turnovers while adding a goal and two assists in Roanoke’s wins over Bridgewater and Virginia Wesleyan.
3. Joe Redmond, Defense, Sr., Scituate, Mass. (Franciscan). 12 ground balls, 4 caused turnovers. Redmond had a stellar effort on defense in Franciscan’s only game of the week, grabbing 12 ground balls and causing four turnovers in a 16-13 victory over Bethany.
4. Jake Rainero, Faceoff Specialist, So., Summit, N.J. (Drew). 84.0 faceoff percentage (42 of 50), 28 ground balls, 2 goals, 1 assist. Rainero won 84.0 percent of his faceoffs while posting two goals and one assist in a 2-0 week for Drew. He went 21-for-25 with 13 ground balls in a 15-7 Landmark Conference victory over Moravian, then finished 21-for-25 again with 15 grounders and one goal in a 13-11 conference victory at Goucher.
5. Cory Bergmann, Midfield, So., Long Beach, Calif. (York (Pa.). 9 goals, 3 assists, 1 ground ball. Bergmann led the Spartans with nine goals and three assists in two MAC Commonwealth wins last week. He tied a program record with eight goals and compiled a career-best 10 total points in York's 20-13 triumph at #11 Stevenson, then then added a man-up goal and assisted on the eventual gamewinning tally in a win over Widener.
6. Garrett Smith, Midfield, Jr., Fishers, Ind. (Ohio Wesleyan). 9 goals, 2 ground balls. Smith finished the week with nine goals in two NCAC wins for Ohio Wesleyan. He scored three times during a gameending 4-1 run in a 14-11 victory at Kenyon, leading the Bishops with five goals on the day. He shared the team lead with four goals the next time out in a 19-12 win over Oberlin.
7. Jeremiah Stafford, Long-Stick Midfield, Jr., Darien, Conn. (Salisbury). 10 ground balls, 2 caused turnovers. Stafford totaled 10 ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers in a pair of victories for #2 Salisbury over St. Mary’s (Md.) and Montclair State.
8. Easton Morse, Attack, So., Dracut, Mass. (RPI). 9 goals, 3 assists, 4 ground balls. Morse recorded nine goals with three assists to lead #5 RPI to a pair of victories. He led all players in points with four goals and three assists in RPI's first-ever victory over #9 Amherst, and backed that performance up with a five-goal output while picking up three ground balls in a convincing 22-7 win over Skidmore.
9. Talon Osmun, Attack, Fy., Mattawan, Mich. (Mount Union). 7 goals, 1 assist, 1 ground ball. Osmun scored seven goals with an assist in Mount Union’s lone game of the week, a 21-18 win over Capital, including the game-tying and go-ahead goals in the fourth quarter.
10. Erik Vogt, Attack, Sr., Warwick, N.Y. (Wentworth). 7 goals, 5 assists, 5 ground balls, 3 caused turnovers. Vogt had a 12-point week (seven goals, five assists) for Wentworth. He scored the game-winning goal in a 10-9 win over Hartford, finishing the day with two goals on three shots and two assists. He followed that up with a five-goal, three-assist game against Gordon.
