The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2025 Division I Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week accolades on Wednesday, April 23. Players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
1. Will Barnes, Goalie, South Riding, Virginia, Senior, Boston University Made 12 saves in the Buckeyes' 10-8 win over No. 12 Michigan to help the team to its first Big Ten regular season in program history.
2. Jackson Eicher, Attack, Warrenton, Virginia, Senior, Army Notched career highs in goals and assists to lead Army to a 20-11 win over Bucknell on Senior Day. Point and goal total both tie for the third most in a single game in program history. Eicher currently possesses the fourth-highest goal total in a single season (45) in program history - just six goals away from tying the program record. His 73 total points this season stands tied for the fourth-most in a single season in program history - he stands 28 points away from tying the program record. Eicher's 135 career points stands tied for 21st in program history. Stands second in the nation in goals per game (3.45), third in the nation in points per game (5.73), and 11th in the nation in assists per game (2.27).
3. Matt Licata, Attack, Sandown, New Hampshire, Graduate Student, Villanova Matt Licata scored a career high five goals in his final home game to propel the Wildcats to a close victory in a thrilling win over Marquette on senior day. His final two goals came 11 seconds apart to tie the game after being down 13-11 with 2:11 on the clock.
4. Aidan Maguire, SSDM, Hingham, Massachusetts, Junior, Duke Scored two goals and two assists while helping anchor Duke's defense to a superb performance in holding Syracuse to just 7 goals - tied for its fewest all season.
5. Chase Mahabir, Midfield, Midland, Michigan, Senior, Detroit Mercy Tallied 5 goals, including a man-down goal and the game winner with 47 seconds left.
6. Eric Malever, Attack, Atlanta, Georgia, Graduate Student, Duke Scored four first-half goals and five overall to spur Duke's offense in 11-7 win over No. 7 Syracuse.
7. Matthew Minicus, Attack, Darien, Connecticut, Junior, Loyola Scored two first-quarter goals and then completed his first-half hat trick with 18 seconds to play in the second to give Loyola an 8-7 lead at the break; After the Midshipmen tied the game at 8-8 just 49 seconds into the third quarter, Minicus was involved in the next three goals.
8. Zack Overend, Goalie, Annapolis, Maryland, Junior, High Point Broke the program record with 23 saves, helping the Panthers knock-off No. 14 Saint Joseph's for its second win over a ranked opponent this season.
9. Ben Ramsey, SSDM, Palo Alto, California, Senior, Notre Dame Ben Ramsey made a huge impact on both ends of the field for the Irish in their 12-6 win over No. 5 UNC. The senior helped Notre Dame hold the Tar Heels to a season-low six goals. Ramsey finished with a season-high three caused turnovers and scooped up two ground balls. For the second straight game the SSDM scored a goal in transition, his second of the season.
10. Alex Rosa, Attack, Syracuse, New York, Senior, Hobart A10 Offensive Player of the Week produced a career-high seven points in Hobart's 26-13 win over St. Bonaventure. He completed his first hat trick before halftime and notched a second hat trick during the third quarter.
