The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2025 Division I Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week accolades on Wednesday, Feb. 26. Players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
1. John Alie, Midfield, Aurora, Colorado, Junior, Bellarmine Totaled 9 goals and 4 assists for 13 points between two games at Cleveland State and vs. Detroit Mercy…Tied a Bellarmine program record and career high with 6 goals vs. Cleveland State…His 8 points at Cleveland State set a new career high and were one point shy of matching the BU program record…Tied a career high with 2 assists in both contests…Helped the Knights battle back from a 4-1 deficit against UDM to win 16-4.
2. Drew Bogardus, Attack, Sheffield, Massachusetts, Freshman, Hofstra In a season already filled with spectacular performances, freshman Drew Bogardus added another for Hofstra on Saturday as he led the way offensively in a 13-12 overtime win over St. John's. Bogardus poured in an incredible seven goals on nine shots and added four ground balls in the victory over the local rival. It is the seventh-most goals in a game in program history. Bogardus' seven goals were the most for a Pride player since Rory Jones scored eight against Wagner last season. Incredibly, the seven goals by Bogardus are the second-most ever by a Hofstra freshman, behind Owen Walsh's eight in 1949.
3. Bobby van Buren, Defense, Wingate, North Carolina, Senior, Ohio State Van Buren held Virginia's McCabe Millon, who averaged over four points per game entering the matchup, to zero points in the Buckeyes' 14-5 win over the then-No. 12 Cavaliers. Van Buren's effort ended Millon's 21- game point streak and helped Ohio State to just its second victory over Virginia all-time.
4. Caleb Fyock, Goalkeeper, Bowie, Maryland, Sophomore, Ohio State Fyock made a season-high 12 saves in the Buckeyes' 14-5 win over Virginia Saturday to improve to 5-0 on the year. The win was the first for the Buckeyes in the series since 2013 and just the second all-time vs. Virginia
5. CJ Kirst, Attack, Bernardsville, New Jersey, Senior, Cornell Outscored #13 Denver all by himself, tallying six goals and assisting on two others in Cornell's 15-5 win. He scored on all six shots he attempted, piling up three goals and two assists in the decisive first half as Cornell led 10-1.
6. Teddy Malone, Attack, Wilmington, Delaware, Junior, Harvard Collected eight points in two games including a four-goal outburst to help No. 15 Harvard knock off No. 6 Syracuse in the dome. Three of the goals came in the second hald to help Harvard complete a five-goal comeback over the Orange. Malone started the week by collecting three points against RV Colgate.
7. Andrew McAdorey, Midfield, Manorville, New York, Senior, Duke Scored the game's final three goals, including the overtime winner, in 8-7 OT win over No. 19 Michigan. He scored all three unassisted goals in a total of 5:11 and they were his first three goals of the game for his 13th career hat trick.
8. John Mullen, Faceoff, Norwell, Massachusetts, Sophomore, Syracuse John Mullen set a new program record for faceoff wins by a sophomore, winning 28 of his 31 chances against Harvard, surpassing the previous mark of 24. His 28 wins are tied for the second-most in a single game in program history and the 90.3 percent win rate is tied for the ninth-best percentage in a game at Syracuse. Mullen snagged 18 ground balls along the way, the second-most for any player in a game at Syracuse and the most by a sophomore in program history.
9. Matthew Paolatto, Faceoff, Sherborn, Massachusetts, Graduate, Rutgers Won 16-of-19 faceoffs, including last 16 of game, in 10-5 win over Loyola. Best RU winning percentage in 83 game span (since 2019).
10. Dominic Pietramala, Attack, Lutherville, Maryland, Redshirt Sophomore, North Carolina Had a career-high six goals in the Tar Heels' 13-12 win at No. 4 Johns Hopkins. Pietramala is the first Tar Heel since Chris Gray in 2022 with six-or-more goals in a game. Helped Carolina start 3-0 for the first time since 2021. Leads Carolina with 15 goals this spring, averaging five goals per game.
