2025 USILA Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week – Division III – Week of Feb. 17

The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2025 Division III Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week accolades on Wednesday, Feb. 19. Players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
 
The list of honorees are as follows:
 
1. Cooper Foote, Goalie, Sr., Baldwinsville, N.Y. (Stevens). 6 goals against, .727 save percentage, 5 ground balls. Foote led #13 Stevens to an 11-6 triumph over #10 Dickinson on Sunday, making 16 saves against just six goals allowed. He made seven saves in the first half as the Ducks took a 9-2 halftime lead and added nine saves during Dickinson’s second-half comeback attempt.

2. Tripp Clark, Defense, Gr., Byfield, Mass. (Babson).
9 ground balls, 3 caused turnovers, 1 assist. Clark all players in both ground balls and caused turnovers in his Babson debut and helped spearhead a defense that forced Roger Williams into 28 turnovers in the #20 Beavers' 16-5 win.

3. Sean Moore, Defense, Jr., Lisbon, Maine (University of New England).
3 ground balls, 6 caused turnovers. Moore caused a game-high six turnovers and picked up three ground balls in UNE’s 16- 5 win over Husson.

4. Wes Silver, Defense, Sr., Newton, Mass. (Ohio Wesleyan).
7 ground balls, 2 caused turnovers. Silver anchored the Bishop defense in an 18-12 win over Grove City, leading the team with seven ground balls and sharing the team lead with a pair of caused turnovers.

5. Guerin Favreau, Midfield, Sr., Woodstock Valley, Conn. (Endicott).
5 goals, 6 assists, 1 ground ball. Favreau scored five goals with six assists for 11 points in Endicott’s season-opening 25-8 win over Keene State, recording points on eight of the team’s first 11 goals in jumping out to a 12-4 halftime lead.

6. Emmett Wood, Midfield, Jr., Falls Church, Va. (Averett).
4 goals, 1 assist, 6 ground balls, 3 caused turnovers. Wood recorded four goals and an assist in a 14-9 loss to William Peace, leading all players in scoring while also adding six ground balls and three caused turnovers.

7. Thomas Nelson, Faceoff Specialist, Sr., Minneapolis, Minn. (Kenyon).
100.0% faceoff percentage (16 for 16), 13 ground balls. Nelson had a perfect showing in face-off battles, going 16-for-16 and scooping up a game-high 13 ground balls in helping Kenyon to a 10-7 home-opening win over Colorado College.

8. Hillis Burns, Attack, Sr., Louisville, Ky. (Washington and Lee).
3 goals, 4 assists, 2 ground balls. Burns opened the year with three goals and four assists to lead the #4 Generals to a 12-10 win over York (Pa.). Burns recorded five of his points after the first quarter, including a goal and three assists during a crucial 6-2 W&L run from the second to third quarters that gave the Generals a 9- 7 advantage.

9. Jake Woodworth, Attack, So., Oceanside, Calif. (Elizabethtown).
9 goals, 1 assist, 3 ground balls. Woodworth tied a school and Landmark Conference single-game record with nine goals in a season-opening 25-3 win at Wilkes on Friday, with six of the goals coming in the first half. Woodworth's 10 points tied for third-most in a game by a Blue Jays player in team history.

10. Braden Zarek, Attack, So., Bloomfield Hills, Mich. (John Carroll).
6 goals, 4 assists, 1 ground ball. Zarek went for 10 points on six goals and four assists in a season-opening 15-13 win over Colorado College. He scored or assisted on six of the team’s last eight goals, including back-toback goals that broke an 11-11 tie and gave JCU the lead for good.
