2023 USILA / Dynamic Team of the Week – Division I – Week of Feb. 20

The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2023 Division I Dynamic Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, Feb. 21. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
 
The list of honorees are as follows:
                                                                                                                                                                                                  
- Reese Burek | M | Army-West Point | Jr. | Fairport, N.Y.
Had five goals and an assist in a 14-13 win over Rutgers; had all five goals in the first half as Army-West Point built a three-goal lead. 

- Tommy Burke | FO | Vermont | Sr. | Palm Beach, Fla.
Won 25 of 31 face-offs in a 14-13 OT win at Utah; also had 14 ground balls. 

- Emmet Carroll | G | Penn | Jr. | Rye, N.Y.
Made 18 saves in a 9-7 win over Georgetown; the 18 saves were one more than his career total prior to the game. 

 - Chris Lyons | A | Yale | So. | Medford, N.J.
Scored nine goals in a 20-14 win over Villanova; was one goal shy of school’s 33-year-old single-game record. 

- Brennan O’Neill | A | Duke | Jr. | Bayshore, N.Y.
Had four goals and three assists in a 14-13 win over Denver; tied the game with 22 seconds left and then scored the game-winner in OT. 

- Joseph Persico | G | Manhattan | GS | Briarcliff, N.Y.
Made 22 saves in a 6-5 win over Navy; made 10 saves while allowing one goal in the second half. 

- Tommy Rogan | A | Dartmouth | Sr. | Merrick, N.Y.
Had two goals and three assists in an 11-10 win over Merrimack; had two goals and two assists in the fourth quarter, as Dartmouth erased a 9-7 deficit to win. 

- Connor Shellenberger | A | Virginia | Jr. | Charlottesville, Va.
Had three goals and seven assists in a 25-21 win over Harvard; had a goal and four assists in the first eight minutes, by which point it was 9-0 UVa. 

- Skylar Wahlund | G | Ohio State | Sr. | Powell, Ohio
Had 12 saves in a 8-5 win over North Carolina; made six saves and allowed one goal in the second half after Ohio State was down 4-2 at the break. 

- Cam Wyers | D | Loyola | GS | Ottawa, Ont.
Had three ground balls and three caused turnovers in a 13-8 win over Johns Hopkins; Loyola allowed only four goals while the first defensive unit was in the game
