2023 USILA / Dynamic Team of the Week – Division I – Week of Feb. 13

The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2023 Division I Dynamic Team of the Week accolades on Wednesday, Feb. 15. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
 
The list of honorees are as follows:
                                                                                                                                                                                                  
- Ryan Bell | Midfield | Providence | So.
Had six goals and four assists for a career-high 10 points in the Friars 15-14 loss to Bryant; had seven points in the second half, including three goals and an assist in the fourth quarter.
 
- Zach Cole | Face Off | St. Joe’s | Gr.
Won 17 of 23 face-offs in a 17-5 win over Sacred Heart; also had 10 ground balls.
 
- Anthony Dattellas | Attack | Hobart | Jr.
Had a career-high eight points on seven goals and an assist in a 20-14 win over Canisius; had two goals and an assist as Hobart built a 5-0 lead and then four goals during a 6-0 run to build the lead to 13-3 at the half.
 
- Brandon Dodd | Attack | Air Force | Sr.
Scored five goals and added an assist as Air Force upset Denver 12-10; all six points came during 9-5 run as the Falcons took the lead.
 
- Troy Hettinger | Defense | Jacksonville | Gr.
Held Duke’s Brennan O’Neill and Andrew McAdorey to one goal and had four ground balls in the Dolphins’ 15-14 comeback win; allowed no goals in the final 27 minutes.
 
- Jonas Hunter | A | Vermont | Jr.
Had five goals and two assists in a 14-12 win over Boston University; victory was first non-conference win over a ranked team ever for the Catamounts.
 
- Matt Knote | Goalie | Massachusetts | Sr.
Made 19 saves in a 10-8 win over Army; made 11 saves in the first half while allowing one goal.
 
- Russell Melendez | Attack | Johns Hopkins | Jr.
Scored a career-high four goals in a 13-12 win over Georgetown; three goals came in the first half and then scored a fourth to tie the game in the fourth quarter.
 
- Joey Spallina | Attack | Syracuse | Fr.
Had 10 goals and two assists in two games for the Orange; had five goals each in wins over Albany and Holy Cross.
 
- Luke Staudt | Goalie | Loyola | Jr.
Made 19 saves in a 12-7 win over No. 1 Maryland; made seven saves while allowing one goal in the fourth quarter.
