The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2022 Division I Dynamic Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, May 2. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
- Gavin Adler, Cornell, D
* had five caused turnovers and eight ground balls in the win over Princeton
- Will Bowen, Georgetown, D
* had five caused turnovers and two ground balls in a 13-7 win over Villanova; the win completed Georgetown’s first perfect Big East season
- Thomas Bragg, Yale, A
* had three goals in the 17-16 win over Harvard; scored the game-winning goal in OT to give the Bulldogs a share of the league championship
- Chris Gray, UNC, A
* had three goals and three assists in a loss to Duke; set the NCAA career points record with 401
- Pat Kavanagh, Notre Dame, A
* had four goals and six assists in an 18-11 win over Syracuse; tied his own program record for points in a game with 10
- Matt Kilkeary, Delaware, G
* made 19 saves in a 14-12 win over Fairfield to give Delaware a share of the CAA title; made seven saves without allowing a goal in the fourth quarter
- Thomas McConvey, Vermont, M
* scored seven goals and had an assist in a 19-10 win over Stony Brook to complete a perfect America East season for the Catamounts; scored four of his team’s five first-half goals to cut an early 4-1 Stony Brook lead to 6-5 at the half
- Brendan Nichtern, Army-West Point, A
* had two goals and eight assists in a 15-14 win over Boston University; broke a 51 year old school record for points in a season with 86
- Bailey Savio, Loyola, FO
* won 17 of 28 face-offs in a 13-12 overtime win over Lehigh, who came into the game as the No. 2 face-off team in the country; had eight ground balls and a goal
- Sean Westley, St. Bonaventure, A
* scored five goals and had an assist in a 12-11 win over Canisius to win the MAAC regular-season; had four of his goals in the final 17 minutes of the game
