The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2022 Division II Dynamic Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, April 5. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
- Mason Chaney – Attack – Barton
Mason shot 73% for his 8 goals. Shooting perfect on his first 6 shots and finished 8 for 11.
- Jeff Atlas – Attack – Florida Southern
Atlas had an outstanding game against Embry-Riddle Saturday where he scored five goals and dished out five assists to have a hand in over half of Florida Southern's goals in the 18-6 victory. The 18 goals were the most given up by Embry-Riddle this season as Atlas had the offense rolling. The junior took 11 shots in the game with 10 finding the frame and did not commit a single turnover of his own. He now has 30 goals and 34 assists on the season while ranking sixth in the SSC in goals per game, first in assists per game and second in points per game.
- Carter Wilcox – Attack – Lander University
Freshman attackman had 9 points (7,2), shot 58%, had 1 CT, and 9 GB's as Lander knocked off defending PBC conference champion Montevallo, 17-11 in the first weekend of conference play. Was also named conference POW for his performance.
- Giovanni Marino – Attack – Wilmington
Scored a program record 9 goals and added an assist in the program's first win over a ranked opponent, defeating #12 St. Anselm, 17-14. Scored 3 goals and added an assist in another win over Georgian Court, 17-8.
- Kendall Collins - Defense – Limestone
Forced six caused turnovers on the week, helping the Saints outscore opponents 49-20 in a pair of wins.
- Tajae McLean-Byrd – FOGO – Felician
Broke own school single-game record for faceoff wins (25) and tied own mark for ground balls (19) during home loss to Chestnut Hill. Also broke own single-season FO win record, currently with 157 in 10 games (758%).
- Ethan Tosheff – FOGO – Florida Tech
Ethan Tosheff dominated the faceoff X in Florida Tech's 16-14 victory over Lynn, winning a career-best 21-25 (.840) attempts to go along with a season-high 14 ground balls and his second career goal. His 21 faceoff wins and 14 ground balls are both 5th most in a game in program history.
- Dylan Renner – Goalie – Adelphi
Dylan Renner earned two more wins between the pipes for Adelphi men's lacrosse, holding Saint Rose and Assumption at bay in NE10 action. For the week, he totaled 16 saves, with 13 of them coming in a narrow 7-4 victory over the Golden Knights. He only allowed six goals for a save percentage of 72.7%.
- Nate Allen – LSM – Coker
Helped Coker to one win over Mars Hill.
- Jacob Herman – Midfield – Wilmington
Dished out 8 assists in leading the Wildcats to a 2-0 week. Scored a goal and dished out a team record 5 assists at #12 St. Anselm. Dished out 3 more assists in a win against Georgian Court.
