The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2022 Division III Dynamic Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, April 12. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
- Zach Bowen – Attack – DeSales University
Led DeSales to two wins last week finishing with seven goals and nine assists for 16 points. He became DeSales' all-time leading scorer and now stands just two points shy of 200 for his career.
- Jude Brown – Attack – St Mary’s College of Maryland
Jude Brown put up a career-best 13 points on two goals and career-high 11 assists as the Seahawks posted a 24-3 win over Wells. Brown also added two ground balls.
- Hunter Olsen – Attack – SUNY Canton
Olsen continued his impressive senior season posting single-game NCAA D-III era program records of 14 points and eight assists as the SUNY Canton men's lacrosse team earned a 23-5 road win at MCLA. He finished with six goals, eight assists and four ground balls in the game and set two more program records a week after breaking the program’s career points record. His 14 points and eight assists were also career and game-highs.
- Ryan Kennedy – Defense – York
Led a defensive unit that allowed just 4.76 goals per game in a pair of Commonwealth victories and a win over #14 Cabrini last week ... His three caused turnovers and six ground balls led ALL players in the win at Cabrini ... Kennedy caused four turnovers in the second quarter at LVC as the Spartans blanked the Dutchmen in the period.
- Evan Rose – FOGO – Ohio Wesleyan
Won 17 of 22 face-offs and collected 13 ground balls to help Bishops to North Coast Athletic Conference win at Allegheny...the win kept OWU unbeaten in NCAC play. Rose won all 6 face-offs during the second quarter, helping the Bishops build an 8-2 halftime lead on the way to a 16-6 win at Allegheny on Saturday.
- Ben Franco – Goalie – Lycoming College
Posted 19 saves and allowed just nine goals (6.00 goals against average) during a 2-0 week in MAC Freedom for the Warriors as the team surpassed its 2021 conference win total ... notched six saves in 16-7 win over King's and added 13 more in a 12-7 win over FDU-Florham ... moved into second in conference with .581 save percentage.
- Connor Hoeft – LSM – Aurora University
Hoeft led the Aurora defense that allowed eight goals in a 14-3 and 15-5 wins. He picked up 10 ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers.
- Marley Angus – Midfield – RIT
Angus scored four goals and added a pair of assists to lead No. 3 RIT to a 14-13 win over No. 4 Union, Saturday. He tallied a goal in the first quarter, two goals in the second quarter and tallied a goal and an assist in the third quarter.
- Jarrett Bromwell – Midfield – Salisbury University
Bromwell was a force on the offensive end for No. 1 Salisbury on Saturday in the 'War on the Shore' against Washington College. In the 22-8 win, Bromwell tallied six points with three goals and three assists. He also scooped up three ground balls.
- Camden Kelleher – Midfield – Tufts University
Kelleher scored 11 goals with two assists in NESCAC victories for the Jumbos at Williams on Wednesday (19-10) and against Connecticut College on Saturday (21-14). He tallied five goals and two assists at Williams, including four points in row (an assist and then three straight goals) that turned an 8-6 Jumbo lead into 12-6 at the half. He then scored a game-high six goals against the Camels, including two in the fourth quarter after Conn had pulled within 14-12 late in the third.
