2022 USILA / Dynamic Team of the Week – Division I – Week of March 28

The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2022 Division I Dynamic Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, March 29. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
 
The list of honorees are as follows:

- Bennett Abladian, Bryant, Attack
Scored six goals on eight shots and added an assist to lead Bryant to a 14-11 victory over Hobart. With Bryant trailing 5-3 at the half, Abladian sparked the Bulldogs by scoring four of his six goals over the final 30 minutes.
 
- Matt Campbell, Villanova, Attack
Paced Villanova to an 18-13 victory over Delaware after producing eight points on a career-high seven goals and an assist. He had a hat trick in the first quarter, scoring three of the Wildcats’ first four goals in the contest.
 
- Zach Cole, Saint Joseph’s, Faceoff Specialist
Put together a perfect game from the “x” against Wagner where he was 21 for 21. It marked the 10th time in NCAA history that a player had a perfect faceoff winning percentage when attempting 20 or more draws. Among those 10 contests, Cole’s performance ties as the sixth-most wins/attempts. Cole also grabbed 15 ground balls in the 12-6 win over the Seahawks.
 
- Vince D’Alto, Boston University, Attack
Set a program-record 14 points in a seven-goal, seven-assist performance against Lafayette (W, 21-11). D’Alto is just the eighth Div. I men’s lacrosse player to record 14 points in a contest and one of only three players since 2013 (Michael Sowers of Princeton, Miles Thompson of Albany). Additionally, D’Alto paced the Terriers with three goals and an assist in a 13-10 loss to No. 15 Harvard on Tuesday, BU’s first blemish of the season.
 
- Tucker Dordevic, Syracuse, Attack
Scored five goals and had two assists to lead Syracuse past Duke 14-10 in the Dome. Four of his five goals and both assists came in the second half, including scoring or assisting on Syracuse’s last six goals.
 
- Sam King, Harvard, Attack
Totaled 13 points on 10 goals and three assists in a pair of Harvard wins as the Crimson have pushed their winning streak to five in a row. Scored four goals in a 13-10 victory over the previously unbeaten Terriers and then scored a career-high six goals on 10 shots and dealt out three assists in a 19-10 win over the Big Green.
 
- Brendan Nichtern, Army, Attack
Recorded three goals and four assists in Army’s 14-12 road win over Patriot League foe Loyola. With the Black Knights trailing 8-7 going into the fourth quarter, Nichtern scored a pair of goals, including the go-ahead goal, and dealt out three assists.
 
- Matthew Nunes, Virginia, Goalkeeper
Yielded just five goals in 58:22 of action in Virginia’s 12-8 win over No. 12 Notre Dame. The freshman made 12 saves in holding the Irish to their lowest single-game scoring output since 2019.
 
- Jared Paquette, Yale, Goalkeeper
Made a career-high 19 saves, including 5 key stops in the final frame, to lead Yale to a 14-12 victory over third-ranked Princeton.
 
- Ross Scott, Rutgers, Attack
Tallied a career-high tying seven points on four goals and three assists to lead No. 6 Rutgers to an 18-7 victory over No. 9 Ohio State. Rutgers now stands 9-1, marking the program’s best record through 10 games since 1956.
