The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2021 Division II Dynamic Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, May 3. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
- Jeff Atlas – A – Florida Southern – Jeff Atlas recorded 15 total points, coming on six goals and nine assists. Set the school record for most assists and points in a game. 15 points is most ever in conference history.
- Carson Rees – A –Chestnut Hill – 7 points, 5 GBs and a CT in three quarters of action to lead the Griffins to an undefeated conference record heading into playoffs
- Chase Showalter – D – Lindenwood – Showalter caused a game-high four turnovers, and scooped up four ground balls in a win over No. 20 Rockhurst
- Michael DeMaio – D – CSU Pueblo – Senior defender with 1 Goal, 8 GB, 2 CT in win over Adams State after 2 week Quarantine Pause on Senior Day/final game of RMAC regular season.
- Antonio Rey – FO – Mercy – Had career-high 16 ground balls and went 19-for-23 on faceoffs in win over Molloy on Thursday
- Jose McLean-Byrd– FO – Felician – Set school single-game record with .863 FO% (19-22) and added 8 GB in a road loss to Caldwell.
- Louis Ragusa – Goalie – Pace - Ragusa was masterful in net during Pace’s NE10 playoff win at Bentley (11-9) on Saturday. The junior posted a career-high 19 stops, including a pair of game- saving saves with under a minute remaining.
- Reid Chaconas– MF – Florida Tech – Chaconas scored four goals against No. 2 Tampa and became the first Panther to reach the 100-goal mark in program history. He now has 101 goals for his career.
- Carson Wallace – MF – Florida Southern – Defensive middie scored three goals
- Logan Gray – FO – Seton Hill – Gray won 37 of 46 faceoffs and finished with 27 ground balls; he also scored a goal for the Griffins
