The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2021 Division II Dynamic Team of the Week accolades on Wednesday, May 12. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
- Spencer Whinery – Attack – Westminster College– Spencer was the RMAC Tournament MVP putting up 10g, 7a in two games.
- Wyatt Auyer – Attack – Uindy - Had 4g 1a in conference semi-final win vs #20 Rockhurst then followed it up with 3g and 1a in conference final win vs #11 Lindenwood
- Alan Singleton – Attack – Pace – Singleton led Pace's offense with five goals in the Setters' 12-10 defeat to 9th-ranked Saint Anselm in the NE10 Semifinals last week. He also grabbed three ground balls, while forcing a pair of turnovers.
- Scott Phillips – Defense – Tampa – Caused six turnovers and picked up eight groundballs, helping Tampa go 2-0 this past week.
- Zachary Ornstein – FO – Chestnut Hill – Earned CACC Tournament MVP honors, 18 GBs in each game played this week, 24/26 facing off in the championship victory.
- Antonio Rey – FO – Mercy College – Went 13-of-14 on face-offs with game-high eight ground balls in Mercy's ECC Championship Final win over Roberts Wesleyan. Rey was named Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.
- Jake Miller – Goalie – Chestnut Hill - Gave up 0 goals and made 9 saves in the CACC semis in 40 minutes of play. Made 14 saves in the CACC Championship game with only 9 goals against.
- Austin Barnett – Goalie – UIndy – Has 10 saves in semi-final win vs #20 Rockhurst then followed it up with 15 saves in conference final win vs #11 Lindenwood.
- Zach Lorenz – Midfield – Mercyhurst – Zach had the best game of his career scoring three goals including the goal that turned the games momentum back in our favor. Unbelievable performance.
- Sam Lindahl – Midfield – Rockhurst – Scored 5 goals in 10-8 loss to 10th-ranked Indianapolis in GLVC Tournament semifinals.
