The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2021 Division III Dynamic Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, April 6. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
- Zach Bernstein, So., Midfield, Aurora (Woodbury, Minn.)
2 GP, 4 G, 2 A, 7 GB, 3 CT ... Zach Bernstein had an outstanding week at both ends of the field and filled up the stat sheet this week against some quality competition. A two-way middie, he dominated both games with seven ground balls and three caused turnovers while adding four goals and two assists.
- Jarrett Bromwell, Sr., Midfield, Salisbury (Woolford, Md.)
1 GP, 7 G, 2 A ... Jarrett Bromwell led No. 2 Salisbury in its 25-12 victory over No. 5 Christopher Newport. Bromwell scored a career-high seven goals and tacked on two assists. In the C2C Conference, Bromwell ranks fourth with 34 goals.
- Jace Conley, Jr, Attack, Albion (Waterford, Mich.)
2 GP, 14 G, 4 A, 4 GB ... Jace Conley is leading MIAA league with 66 points and 46 goals. He is averaging 5.75 goals and 8.25 points per game this season.
- Kevin Crowley, Jr., Attack, Catholic (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)
1 GP, 9 G, 9 GB ... Kevin Crowley set school and league records for goals in a game (9) on the way to a 24-10 win.
- Makay Hansen, So., Attack, Colorado College (Dallas, Texas)
2 GP, 8 G, 1 A, 5 GB, 1 CT ... Makay Hansen scored four goals and set up another during an 18-16 win at Southern Virginia. He then scored four goals in a 12-11 overtime win at No. 5 Christopher Newport. The win over CNU was Colorado College's first-ever against top-5 opponent.
- Garrett Heidecker, Jr., Face-Off, Misericordia (Mohrsville, Pa.)
1 GP, 15 GB, 92.5 FO% (25-for-27) ... Garrett Heidecker had an astonishing day at the X, winning 92 percent of the face-offs. He also collected 15 ground balls, tying the school’s single-game record.
- Will Roberts, Sr., Midfield, DePauw (Carmel, Ind.)
2 GP, 13 G, 13 A, 4 GB, 1 CT ... Will Roberts recorded a school-record eight goals and 13 points versus Wabash and then broke the school’s assist record (8) in the second game between those schools.
- Brandon Schmidt, Sr., Defense, SUNY Canton (Ballston Spa, N.Y.)
1 GP, 1 G, 9 GB, 1 CT ... Brandon Schmidt finished with a game-high nine ground balls and one caused turnover as he led the Roos to a crucial 14-8 NAC win versus SUNY Delhi. The senior scored his first goal of the season while leading a defense that held the Broncos to eight goals.
- Jack Taylor, Sr., Goalie, Washington and Lee (Baltimore, Md.)
2 GP, 61.6 SV%, 11.50 GAA ... Washington and Lee played back-to-back games against No. 3 Lynchburg. Jack Taylor had 19 saves in the first game and 18 saves in the second game, stopping 61.6 percent of the shots on goal he faced.
- Joey Tiernan, Sr., Midfield, Stockton (Voorhees, N.J.)
1 GP, 5 G, 6 A, 1 GB ... Joey Tiernan scored a game-high five goals and a career-high six assists and 11 points during Stockton’s 21-12 win over Montclair State. Tiernan scored or assisted on more than half of Stockton's 21 goals.
