The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2021 Division III Dynamic Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, April 13. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
- John Allen, Grad., Attack, Pfeiffer (Lebanon, Ohio) - 1 GP, 8 G, 2 A, 1 GB ... John Allen led Pfeiffer with eight goals and had two assists in the home win over Averett.
- Skyler Blake, Sr., Attack, John Carroll (Columbus, Ohio) - 2 GP, 12 G, 2 A, 6 GB ... Skyler Blake was John Carroll’s offensive leader during the week as his team went 2-0 in conference play. Blake is leading the country in goals and goals per game.
- Camden Bowdy, Jr., Midfield, Denison (Dublin, Ohio) - 2 GP, 3 G, 13 A, 3 GB ... Camden Bowdy set a new Denison and NCAC record for assists and points in a game when he dished out 12 helpers in the Big Red’s win over Wabash.
- Davis Cronin, Jr., Face-Off, Denison (Boston, Mass.) - 2 GP, 17 GB, 1 CT 93.5 FO% (19-of-31) ... Davis Cronin won 29-of-31 face-offs in Denison's two wins over Wabash this week. He totaled 17 ground balls and caused one turnover.
- Chris Durning, Grad., LSM, Eastern (Havertown, Pa.) - 2 GP, 1 G, 22 GB, 10 CT ... Chris Durning forced six turnovers, grabbed 13 ground balls, and scored a goal in an important 12-7 league win over Widener. He caused four turnovers and grabbed nine ground balls in a 10-9 OT loss at Stevenson to become the program leader with 113 career caused turnovers
- Quinn Helmig, Sr., Defense, Union (N.Y.) (Newtown, Conn.) - 1 GP, 1 A, 4 GB, 1 CT ... Quinn Helmig anchored #15 Union's defensive unit that held #7 St. Lawrence to just six goals (more than 10 fewer than their season average). Union’s defense held the Saints off the board for more than 32 minutes in Saturday's 10-6 victory.
- Ryan Kennedy, Grad., Defense, York (Pa.) (Arnold, Md.) - 2 GP, 7 GB, 5 CT ... Ryan Kennedy led all Spartan defensemen with five caused turnovers to go along with seven ground balls as a part of the Commonwealth’s top-ranked scoring defense. The fifth-year senior led a defense that surrendered just 3.5 goals per game and pitched a first-half shutout vs. LVC.
- Max May, So., Goalie, Muhlenberg (Hewlett, N.Y.) - 1 GP, 68.2 SV%, 7 GA ... Max May tied a career high with 15 saves in Muhlenberg’s 15-9 win vs. Dickinson. May allowed only seven goals in 57 minutes. He made 11 saves in the first half. It was the first Mules’ win versus Dickinson since 2009.
- Jared Medwar, Sr., Attack, Hampden-Sydney (Apex, N.C.) - 1 GP, 7 G, 1 A, 3 GB ... Jared Medwar tallied a career-high seven goals in the #18 Tigers' 22-13 win over archrival Randolph-Macon. Medwar scored six of the first nine goals and also finished with three ground balls.
- Rob Wagner, Sr., Midfield, Misericordia (Mullica Hill, N.J.) - 2 GP, 7 G, 10 A, 10 GB, 3 CT ... Rob Wagner tied a school record with six assists to go along with three goals versus Delaware Valley. He also scored four goals and had four assists on Wednesday and was named the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Week.
