The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2021 Division I Dynamic Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, March 30. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
- A - Payton Cormier, Virginia / vs. Notre Dame / scored 4 of his 5 goals in the second half to help the Cavaliers overcome a 7-5 halftime deficit
- A - Sean Goldsmith, Mercer / vs. Utah / tallied a team-best 7 points (6G, 1A), scoring 4 of Mercer's final 5 goals in its win over Utah
- A - Jakob Patterson, Albany / vs. UMass and Stony Brook / Produced 12 points (3G, 9A) in a pair of games, including 3 goals and 5 assists in a short-handed Albany win over UMass
- A - Dalton Young, Richmond / vs. High Point / led the Spiders with 8 points on a game-high 6 goals and 2 assists
- M - Owen Corry, NJIT / vs. UMass-Lowell / paced the team with a career-high 7 points (5G, 2A) in leading NJIT to its first America East win in program history
- D - Brett Makar, Maryland / vs. Rutgers / held Rutgers’ Kieran Mullins to just 1 assist as Maryland kept the Scarlet Knights under 10 goals for the first time this season
- D - Cade Saustad, Virginia / vs. Notre Dame / marked Pat Kavanaugh, who entered the game averaging a Division I-high 4.75 assists per game, and held him to 2, one coming on extra-man
- GK - Nick DiMuccio, Quinnipiac / vs. St. Bonaventure / made 14 saves (.778 sv%) in a 5-4 win over St. Bonaventure, 4 of his 14 saves came in the fourth quarter as the Bonnies got off 13 shots
- FO - TD Ierlan, Denver / vs. Providence / went 14 for 14 from the faceoff "x" while also grabbing 10 ground balls in his Denver and season debut
- FO - Jake Naso, Duke / Syracuse / won 24 of the 32 draws (.750) and grabbed 14 ground balls in the win over Syracuse
