The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2021 Division III Dynamic Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, March 23. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
- Brady Altobello, Jr., Midfield, Christopher Newport (Potomac, Md.)
2 GP, 5 G, 6 A, 1 GB ... Brady Altobello led the Captains with 11 points during the week, including six in the squad's win over No. 2 Lynchburg on Saturday. Against the nationally-ranked Hornets, he scored four times, including a go-ahead goal midway through the fourth quarter. Earlier in the week, he also had five points and set a new career high with four assists in a win at Randolph-Macon.
- Skyler Blake, Sr., Attack, John Carroll (Columbus, Ohio)
2 GP, 19 G, 1 A, 7 GB, 1 CT ... Skyler Blake set a school record for goals in a game (10) and goals in a career this week (197).
- Zach Danneman, Jr., Attack, Southern Virginia (Acworth, Ga.)
1 GP, 8 G, 1 A, 6 GB, 100 FO% (1-for-1) ... Zach anneman lead the potent Southern Virginia University offense to a 17-12 victory over No. 19 Washington and Lee University with nine points (8g, 1a). With his performance Danneman tied the program record for most goals scored in a game.
- Grant Evans, Jr., Face-Off, Grove City (Pittsburgh, Pa.)
1 GP, 1 G, 16 GB, 90.4 FO% (19-for-21) ... Grant Evans won 19 of 21 face-offs with 16 ground balls and a goal. Evans has won 85 percent of his face-off attempts this season.
- Cross Ferrara, Sr., Attack, Salisbury (Greenville, Del.)
3 GP, 17 G, 2 A, 5 GB, 1 CT ... Cross Ferrara scored 17 goals to help Salisbury finish the week 3-0. His week was highlighted by nine goals against Mary Washington in the C2C opener.
- Ryan Gebhardt, Sr., Attack, Stevens (Baldwinsville, N.Y.)
2 GP, 11 G, 6 A, 7 GB, 2 CT ... Ryan Gebhardt totaled 11 goals with six assists as Stevens topped both Delaware Valley and Misericordia. Among his 11 goals, Gebhardt scored on the man-advantage and scored short-handed.
- Connor Graser, Sr., Defense, Albright (Middletown, Del.)
2 GP, 2 G, 11 GB, 12 CT ... Connor Graser registered a single-game program record eight caused turnovers, scored a goal, and grabbed six ground balls in Lions 12-7 win over Messiah. He followed that with five ground balls and four caused turnovers along with one goal vs. Eastern.
- Mark Mahoney, Jr., Attack, St. Lawrence (Canton, N.Y.)
1 GP, 5 G, 2 A, 5 GB ... Mark Mahoney led the No. 16 Saints to a 14-10 season-opening win over No. 12 St. John Fisher with a career-best five goals and two assists for seven points. He also picked up five ground balls.
- Daniel Misheck, Sr., Defense, Benedictine (Oak Forest, Ill.)
2 GP, 14 GB, 6 CT ... Daniel Misheck caused six turnovers and collected 14 ground balls in a pair of big non-conference wins for Benedictine. Misheck helped anchor a defense that kept previously unbeaten Elmhurst scoreless for nearly three full quarters and did not allow Southwestern to score for the final 20 minutes of the game. He collected six ground balls with a caused turnover against Elmhurst and caused five turnovers while picking up eight ground balls against Southwestern.
- Matt Motta, Sr., Attack, DeSales (Sewell, N.J.)
2 GP, 7 G, 7 A, 8 GB, 3 CT ... Matt Motta led DeSales to two wins, scoring seven goals and adding seven assists across the two games. He had two goals and three assists in the win over Wilkes and exploded for five goals and four assists during the win over Arcadia.
