2021 USILA / Dynamic Team of the Week – Division III – Week of March 1

The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2021 Division III Dynamic Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, March 2. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
 
The list of honorees are as follows:

-William Beyer, Fr., Attack, Greensboro College (Greensboro, N.C.): 2 GP, 10 G, 5 A, 8 GB, 1 CT ... William Beyer’s eight goals against Birmingham Southern was a career high, earning him USA South Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors. He notched a career-high five ground balls against Ferrum on February 24 while adding a caused turnover against Birmingham Southern.

-Colin Dean, Graduate, Midfielder, Lynchburg (Havre de Grace, Md.): 1 GP, 5 G, 2 A, 3 GB ... Colin Dean led the Lynchburg midfield during an 18-8 win over Southern Virginia.

-Anders Erickson, Jr., Attack, Colorado College (Lone Tree, Colo.): 1 GP, 3 G, 3 A ... Anders Erickson scored three goals and set up three others in the 20-5 victory at Southwestern.

-Grant Evans, Jr., Face-Off/Midfielder, Grove City (Pittsburgh, Pa.): 1 GP, 3 G, 19 GB, 1 CT, 85.7 FO% ... Grant Evans won 18 of 21 faceoffs in the season-opening 20-11 win Saturday at Westminster. He also scored three times during the victory.

-MJ Fleming, Jr., LSM/Defense, Averett (Richmond, Va.): 4 GP, 1 A, 26 GB, 10 CT, 100 FO% ... During the current week, MJ Fleming tallied one ground ball and three caused turnovers in a 12-5 Win over Randolph. Fleming also went 2-2 from the face-off X. During the previous week, Fleming had five-plus ground balls in all three games and added two games with three caused turnovers. He had his best outing with seven ground balls and three caused turnovers during a win over Oglethorpe.

-Tyler Gallagher, Graduate, Defense, Lynchburg (Palmyra, Pa.): 1 GP, 1 G, 3 GB, 2 CT ... Tyler Gallagher led the Lynchburg defense as it held Southern Virginia to eight goals. Additionally, Gallagher scored his third career goal.

-Lake Harris, Jr., Face-Off Specialist, Capital University (Lewis Center, Ohio): 1 GP, 95.5 FO% ... Lake Harris won 21 of 22 faceoffs in CU's season opener on the road, and in his debut as the Crusaders' primary FOS. Harris was part of the team’s performance that led to new program single-game goal (27) and points (44) records.

-Campbell Pozin, Jr., Midfielder, Christopher Newport (Virginia Beach, Va.): 1 GP, 2 GB, 3 CT ... Campbell Pozin matched his career high with three caused turnovers, including two in the fourth quarter to stop Hampden-Sydney's comeback bid. The short-stick specialist also helped lead a defense that limited the Tigers to only 18 on-target shots while forcing 24 turnovers.

-Christopher Stallings, Sr., Goalie, Greensboro College (Bel Air, Md.): 2 GP, 2 GB, 65.2 SV%, 8.00 GAA ... Christopher Stallings amassed 18 saves against Birmingham Southern as he faced 28 shots on goal. Stallings made 12 saves on 18 shots, posting his highest single-game save percentage of the season (66.7%).

-Liam Taylor, Fr., Attack, Averett University (Chesapeake, Va.): 4 GP, 13 G, 5 A, 7 GB, 5 CT ... During this past week, Liam Taylor set the program record for points in just over one quarter of action with five goals and three assists against Randolph. In the previous week, Taylor set the school points and goals record (5G, 2A) during his first game as a cougar versus Centenary. Taylor had two goals against Ferrum and another goal against Oglethorpe.
