2021 USILA / Dynamic Team of the Week – Division II – Week of March 1

The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2021 Division II Dynamic Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, March 2. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
 
The list of honorees are as follows:

-Jose McLean-Byrd, Felician – FOGO – Bronx, NY: Was 17 for 21 from faceoff spot (school-record .810) plus 11 ground balls and a goal despite Felician's 10-8 season- opening home loss to Wheeling.

-Devin Bell, Georgian Court – Attack – Calgary, Alberta: Netted game-best five goals (including game-winner) in 12-8 come-from-behind victory vs. Lake Erie College (2021 season opener).

-Alex Ellis, Lander University – Defense – Sykesville, MD: Scored 2 goals as a close defenseman in Lander's first ever win over NGU, 11-10.

-Jake Foster, Maryville – Attack – Calgary, Alberta: Scored a hat trick in Maryville's 8-7 overtime victory versus #13 Lindenwood. Also caused two turnovers and picked up one ground ball. Fired in five goals and added four assists in the 19-0 shutout at Quincy. Scored five times on seven shots on goal. His nine points tied for the fifth most in program history.

-Thomas Cecere, North Greenville University – Attack – Grand Island, NY: Scored 5 goals in 13-10 win against nationally-ranked Catawba. Finished the week with 9 points in two games.

-Lucas Yearwood, North Greenville University – Defense – Mauldin, SC: Was key on defense in games against Lander and nationally-ranked Catawba. 5 GB’s and 5 CTO’s

-Kai Trujillo, ?Rockhurst University – Attack – Castle Rock, CO: Recorded 5 goals in Hawks 10-8 win over Lewis University in a GLVC match-up

-Robert Hofseth, Seton Hill – Attack – Coquitlam, British Columbia: Finished with 9 points in the Griffins 24-8 win over Chestnut Hill

-Edward Erickson, Wingate – Goalie – Portland, OR: Erickson piled up 10 saves while holding #5 Limestone to its lowest total since the 2006 national semifinals as #11 Wingate handed the Saints their worst loss in 15 years in the 12-3 road victory – Sv % 76.9%

-Danny Riley, Wingate – Attack – Smithtown, NY: Riley finished with 5 points on the day to help lead the Bulldogs to the huge 12-3 victory at #5 Limestone, scoring twice in the first period as the 'Dogs jumped out to a 3-0 lead
