The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2020 Division II Warrior and New Balance Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, March 10. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
Philip Buque, Saint Leo (Sr., A, Whitby, Ontario, Canada)
Registered five goals off six shots to pace the Lions to a 20-6 win over Walsh.
Carter Collins, Lindenwood (Jr., M, Prior Lake, Minn.)
Piled up six goals, three assists and 13 ground balls in wins over Lynn and Maryville.
Ryan Gabriel, Le Moyne (Sr., FO, Homer, N.Y.)
Put together a 24-for-27 effort at the faceoff dot with 14 ground balls and his first career goal in Le Moyne’s 18-12 win over Lake Erie on Wednesday.
Bryce Gifford, Belmont Abbey (Sr., GK, Delran, N.J.)
Made 23 saves on 26 shots against 18th-ranked Rollins on Saturday afternoon.
Logan Maloni, Seton Hill (Sr., A, McMurray, Pa.)
Maloni led the Griffins to a pair of wins by scoring nine goals and two assists.
Bryce Reece, Lenoir-Rhyne (Fr., M, Mt. Laurel, N.J.)
Recorded a career-high three assists and five points during the Bears’ 18-16 win over No. 1 Limestone on Sunday.
Carson Rees, Chestnut Hill (Jr., A, Port Coquitlam, BC)
Registered seven goals and two assists in a Tuesday win over Alderson Broaddus.
Ryan Richards, Saint Anselm (Jr., A, Mendon, Mass.)
Assisted the game-tying goal with 56 seconds left in regulation as part of a seven-point afternoon in Saint Anselm’s 17-16 overtime win over Florida Tech.
Thomas Umano, Mercy (So., GK, Seaford, N.Y.)
Made 14 saves and allowed just six goals in a 9-6 win over No. 7 Pace on Saturday.
Logan Stinson, Wilmington (Fr., A, Lafayette, La.)
Scored nine goals and added two assists in wins over Saint Thomas Aquinas and Chowan.
