2020 USILA / Warrior and New Balance Team of the Week – Division I – Week of March 9

The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2020 Division I Warrior and New Balance Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, March 10. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
 
The list of honorees are as follows:

Mike Adler, St. Joe’s (Sr., G, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)
Made a 39 saves in two games, making a career-high 20 in a 10-9 win over Drexel Friday and making 19 in a 13-12 loss to Penn Sunday; had a .629 save percentage for the weekend.

Matt Gaudet, Yale (Sr., A, Hamilton, Ont.)
Scored seven goals and had an assist in a 17-11 win over Michigan; the seven goals, which tied his career high, came on 10 shots.

Sean Goldsmith, Mercer (Soph., A, Jamestown, N.C.)
Had 10 goals and two assists in two wins last week; had seven goals and an assist in a 17-8 win over St. Bonaventure and a three goals and one assist in a 10-7 win over Monmouth.

Phil Goss, Brown (Sr., G, San Francisco, Calif.)
Made 16 saves in a 14-13 win over Virginia; made nine of his saves in the second half as Brown rallied from an 8-2 second quarter deficit.

TD Ierlan, Yale (Sr., FO, Victor, N.Y.)
Won 25 of 27 face-offs and had 19 ground balls in a 17-11 win over Michigan; broke the NCAA career record for career face-off wins and now has 1,159.

Patrick Kennedy, Villanova (Jr., D, Long Valley, N.J.)
Had five caused turnovers and six ground balls in a win over Penn; had one caused turnover and nine ground balls in a loss to Drexel.

Matt Moore, Virginia (Jr., A, Garnet, Valley, Pa.)
Had seven goals and three assists, as well as two caused turnovers and three ground balls, in a 14-13 loss to Brown; seven goals and 10 points were career highs.

Angelo Petrakis, Cornell (Fr., FO, Massapequa Park, N.Y.)
Won 18 of 29 face-offs in a dramatic 18-17 win over Penn State; scored two goals, including the game-winner with eight seconds left.

Stephen Rehfuss, Syracuse (Sr., A, Latham, N.Y.)
Tied his career high with seven assists in a 15-9 win over Johns Hopkins; had six assists in the first half as the Orange built a 10-4 lead.

Alec Stathakis, Denver (Fr., FO, Northville, Mich.)
Won 22 of 28 face-offs with 15 ground balls in a 14-11 win over Notre Dame; won all eight third-quarter face-offs and sparked a 4-0 Pioneer run.
