2020 USILA / Warrior and New Balance Team of the Week – Division III – Week of Feb. 24

The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2020 Division III Warrior and New Balance Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, Feb. 24. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
 
The list of honorees are as follows:

Alex Brendes, Fr. Attack, Christopher Newport
Became the first freshman in program history to open his career with three straight hat-tricks after continuing his early-season run with five goals at Roanoke and three against Hampden-Sydney. His five goals at Roanoke equaled the third-highest total by a freshman in school history and the most by a first-year Captain since 2013.
 
TJ Ellis, Sr. Goalie, Salisbury
Only allowed five goals against No. 10 Gettysburg. Ellis made eight saves and held Gettysburg off the board until three seconds left in the first half.
 
Adam Race, Sr. LSM, University of New England
Led the team in CT and GB in a 2-0 week. Had a career-high 8 CT vs. Wheaton, as well as a highlight-reel long-stick dodge for his one goal.
 
Jason Sarro, Sr. Attack, Roanoke
ODAC Player of the Week, totaling 14 points in a 1-1 week for RC. Had five goals and two assists against Sewanne.
 
Joe Post, Jr. Midfield, St. John Fisher

Won 27 faceoffs in season-opening win over Ithaca. Earned a game-high 19 ground balls. Scored both of his goals in the game by winning the face off, scooping up the ground ball and then rushing to the net to score.
 
Jack Dobrzynski, Jr. Midfield, UMass Boston
Was nearly perfect in his 2020 season debut on the face-off X as he went 18-for-20 ... He also registered a goal and an assist to have one the best games of his career.
 
Blake Behlen, Fr. Attack, Farmingdale State
Led the team in assists and points in a 2-0 week with wins over Mitchell and FDU-Florham in his first collegiate games. His 7 assists and 10 points against Mitchell both rank second all-time in a game at FSC. He added one goal and a game-high 5 assists versus FDU-Florham.
 
Erik Anderson, Sr. Attack, Stockton University
Led the team in assists and points in a 2-0 week. Averaged 7.0 PPG and 4.0 APG during the pair of wins over Delaware Valley and McDaniel. One of his goals was a game winning tally. His SOG for the week was .667. His six goals came on just 12 shots on net.
 
Ethan Grossman, Jr. Attack, Muhlenberg
Totaled seven points in the Mules' 16-13 home-opening win vs. Scranton to go over 150 career points in the 35th game of his career.
 
Will Hubbs, Fr. Attack, Centre
Recorded 12 points (7 goals, 5 assists) in two Centre victories. Had a hat trick and an assist against Hanover. Set collegiate career highs with four goals and four assists in a 16-6 win against Huntingdon
