The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2020 Division III Warrior and New Balance Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
Brant Pittman, Sr. Midfield, Denison
Brant Pittman scored a career-high six goals in his second collegiate start to help lead No. 8 Denison to a 17-11 win over No. 13 Washington and Lee on Sunday in Lexington, Va. Four of his six goals came in the first half.
Camden Stramanak, Sr. Defense, Randolph-Macon
Stramanak tallied seven caused turnovers and seven ground balls, both career-highs. Also scored a goal off a turnover he caused in R-MC's 10-9 overtime victory against Catholic.
Daniel Crotty, Sr. Defense, Stevens
Crotty returned to the field for the first time since 2018 and anchored a defensive unit that only allowed four goals in No. 18 Stevens' 9-4 season-opening win over Swarthmore. The Charlotte, North Carolina native matched a career-high with seven ground balls, while causing two turnovers.
Matt Dancsecs, So. Midfield, Montclair St.
Dancsecs scored five times in first game as a Red Hawk...scored 3 straight goals as Montclair pulled away from DeSales, outscoring them 10-1 over the final 3 quarters in an 11-3 win.
Nick Montemorano, Jr. Midfield, RIT
Montemorano won 19-of-21 face-offs and grabbed 16 ground balls in a 17-4 win over Ohio Wesleyan University.
Bobby McClure, Sr. Attack, Ursinus
McClure handed out a career-high five assists, including one on the game-winning goal with 12.8 seconds remaining as Ursinus edged Stevenson, 13-12, in Saturday's season opener.
Chris Broderick, Sr. LSM, Denison
Broderick led Denison with seven ground balls as the Big Red defeated No. 13 Washington and Lee on the road, 17-11.
Will Harnick, Fr. Attack, York (Pa.)
Harnick tallied a career-high six points on three goals and three assists in the victory. Harnick opened his day with York's second goal of the day just 3:58 into the game. He then assisted on York's fourth, seventh and ninth goals and closed out his scoring with a pair of goals early in the fourth quarter.
Reeves McKenney, Jr. Goalie, Denison
McKenney posted 16 saves in No. 8 Denison's 17-11 win over No. 13 Washington and Lee. Nine of his 16 saves came in the second half.
Connor Murphy, Sr. Midfield, Stevens
Murphy had a career day in the faceoff circle for the 18th-ranked Ducks in the team's 9-4 season-opening win over Swarthmore. Murphy won a career-best 13 times in the 'X' out of 15 total faceoffs, while picking up four ground balls.
