2020 USILA / Warrior and New Balance Team of the Week – Division III – Week of Feb. 10

The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2020 Division III Warrior and New Balance Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, Feb. 10. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
 
The list of honorees are as follows:

Colin DiSesa, Sr. Attack, Randolph-Macon
Netted a team-high five goals in the team’s season opener.

 Zac Asbury, Jr. Attack, Southwestern University
Asbury scored nine points off four goals and five assists in the Southwestern University Pirates men's lacrosse team's 15-8 victory over the Hendrix Warriors in the season opener.

Brett Malamphy, Sr. FOGO, Salisbury University
Malamphy won 21-of-22 faceoffs (95.4%) and scooped up 16 ground balls in a 16-10 win over No. 14 Lynchburg.

Griffin Moroney, Jr. Attack, Salisbury University
Moroney posted a hat trick just in the first half against No. 14 Lyncbburg. Made a highlight goal right before the end of the first half. Leads Salisbury in scoring with eight goals and 11 points.

Brendan Markovic, Sr. Midfield, Randolph-Macon
Markovic score the first three goals of the season opener for RMC and finished the game with six total points totaling four goals and two assists.

Derek Zacatenco, Sr. Attack, Guilford
Zacatenco tallied a career and team-high in goals and points in Guilford's win at Sewanee netting five markers and dishing out one assist.

Jack Rogers, Sr. Goalie, Guilford
Rogers turned in a 14 saver performance in the Guilford’s win over Sewanee.

Dylan Wolf, Jr. Midfield, York (Pa.)
Wolf registered a game-high six points on three goals and three assists for the Spartans. He was quiet early in the game as he had one goal and one assist in the opening 44 minutes of play. However, Wolf turned it on when the Spartans needed him most. He assisted on the Spartans' ninth goal which tied the game with 11 seconds left in the third quarter. He then scored the go ahead goal 1:53 into the fourth quarter followed by an insurance goal three minutes later. He then assisted on the Spartans' third goal of the fourth quarter as York improved to 8-1 in openers under head coach Brandon Childs.

Jack Michael, So. Goalie, York (Pa.)
Michael made his 2020 debut a successful one as he registered 11 saves in the Spartans' 13-9 season opening win at #12 Washington & Lee. Michael made three saves each in the first, third and fourth quarters while he made two stops in the second. He was sterling in the final quarter as he held the Generals off the scoreboard as York netted four goals to secure the win after the game as tied at nine at the end of three quarters.

Jace Conley, So. Attack, Albion
Conley led the game with six goals and adding in two EMO goals as well. Conley finished with eight points overall in a two goal win over top 4 NCAC team from 2019.
