The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its fourth 2019 Division III Warrior and New Balance Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, March 5. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
 
The list of honorees are as follows:
 
Brett Malamphy (Salisbury University, Sr., Faceoff Specialist, Crofton, MD.)
Malamphy turned in an exceptional week for the Sea Gulls in their 18-9 victory over Ohio Wesleyan University. Malamphy posted both career and team-high's winning 21-of-25 faceoffs including a perfect 12-of-12 mark in the first half and 17-of-17 in the opening half, and scooping up 14 groundballs. Four of Salisbury's first nine goals came within a minute or less of Malamphy winning the faceoff to help the team build a 9-2 advantage after the opening frame.

Corey Gwin (Salisbury University, Sr., Midfield, Berlin, MD.)
Gwin netted a team high seven goals while totaling another team-best nine points in Salisbury's 18-9 win over Ohio Wesleyan university. The seven goals is a single game career-high for Gwin as is the nine points. He netted five of his seven goals in the first half including all three of the Sea Gulls' goals in the second quarter to help the team build a 12-4 halftime advantage. He currently leads the team with 17 goals and 23 total points through the first five games while ranking in both categories respectively in the CAC.

Max Waldbaum (Tufts University, So., Attack, Denver, Colo.)
Waldbaum helped the Jumbos to a 2-0 weekend scoring six goals in each game as Tufts opened its season with a sweep of Hamilton and No. 17 Cortland in upstate New York. For the weekend Waldbaum totaled 12 goals while scooping up two groundballs.

Brian Kolen (Gettysburg College, Jr., Attack, Bridgewater, N.J.)
The junior attackman turned in a solid performance for the Bullets as they took down No. 19 Stevenson University, 15-9. Kolen netted a career-high seven goals, which is the most by a Gettysburg player in a single game in four years, while tying a career-high in points with eight.

Mitch Wykoff (Gettysburg College, Jr., Defense, Fairfield, Conn.)
Wykoff was exceptional in Gettysburg’s victory over No. 19 Stevenson University scoring a career-high two goals in transition. He would also post a career-high three caused turnovers and held Stevenson's leading scorer (JT Thelen) to one goal and one assist, while scooping up five groundballs as well. 

Clark Akers (Marymount University, So., Attack, Springfield, Va.)
Akers was exceptional for the Saints this past week helping the team to a 1-1 week. Akers scored a career-high six goals against the Catholic University of America. He would follow that performance up with seven points on five goals and two assists in an overtime victory over St. Vincent including the game-winner in overtime on March 2. For the week he totaled 11 goals, two assists, 13 points, a caused turnover, and seven groundballs.

Erik Anderson (Stockton University, Jr., M/Attack, Monroe Twp., N.J.)
Anderson was exceptional for the Ospreys this past week totaling 17 points on seven goals and 10 assists while adding in two caused turnovers. He posted game-highs of four goals and four assists to total eight points in 16-6 win over Haverford College. He followed up that outing with another stellar game posting team-bests in goals, nine, and assists, six, (which is the most by a Stockton player in a game since 2015) in the team’s 18-10 win over Southern Virginia University.

John Sutro (Colorado College, So., Attack, Kentfield, CA.)
Sutro produced career highs in Colorado College’s victory over Widener University scoring three goals and dishing out seven assists to total 10 points. He became the first Tiger to record 10 points in a game since 2012, and the first with seven assists since 2011.

Jakob Klein (Cabrini University, Jr., Midfield, Wernersville, PA.)
Klein turned in an impressive week for the Cavaliers helping them to a 2-0 week. He matched a career high with nine points with three goals and six assists in an 18-7 win at Hampden-Sydney. On March 2, Klein continued his solid week firing home three goals to lead the Cavaliers to a 14-8 victory at No. 9 Dickinson College.

Nic Brown (Delaware Valley University, Jr., Goalie, Mechanicsburg, PA.)
Brown made a career-high 25 saves to lead Delaware Valley to a, 6-5, home triumph over Arcadia University in the annual Battle For The Bucks-Mont Hammer rivalry game. Brown posted a save percentage of .833 while also scooping up three groundballs in the win.
