USILA Announces Division II Coach of the Year

2018 USILA Coach of the Year Division II

Greg Paradine, Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach, Lenoir-Rhyne University

Paradine guided the Bears to the best season in program history during 2018 and was named USILA Division II National Coach of the Year. In the second game of the season, Paradine and the Bears orchestrated a 17-13 win over No. 1, and reigning National Champion, Limestone on Saints Field. LR won a record 17 games against just three losses. Of those three defeats, two came by one goal. The Bears went a perfect 8-0 in league play en route to winning its third straight South Atlantic Conference Championship. In total, the Bears have won 24 straight regular season league game. Paradine also coached the Bears to their first-ever NCAA Tournament win, a 14-12 triumph over Colorado Mesa on May 12 which gave the Bears the opportunity to host the Division II National Semifinal. The Bears lost a heartbreaker to Saint Leo 12-11 to close out the season.
