The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2022 Division III Dynamic Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, March 22. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
- Donal Mullane – Attack – Bowdoin
Mullane led Bowdoin to 3 wins last week, including a pair of NESCAC victories, with 17 points in three games as the Polar Bears improved to 5-0 for the first time since 2004.
- Jayden Wilson – Attack – Maine Maritime Academy
Wilson helped lead the Mariners to their first conference opening win since 2016, by tallying five goals and dishing out five assists in the team’s decisive 22-10 win over NAC opponent MCLA on Saturday. Wilson registered assists on the Mariners first two goals of the game and totaled a game and season-high 10 points on the afternoon, while also contributing five ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Ryan Gebhardt – Attack – MIT
In MIT's only game of the week, a 23-9 victory over NEWMAC foe Clark University on Saturday, Ryan Gebhardt tallied nine goals and one assist. He scored four of the Engineers' first five goals, putting them ahead for good. This was the second game in a row Gebhardt registered nine goals and tied the program record for goals in a game.
- Brett Randall – Attack – Nazareth
Had 8 pts (6g, 2a) in 22-15 win over Western New England; had season-best 10 pts (6g, 4a) in 22-8 win over Keene State.
- Cross Ferrara – Attack – Salisbury University
Ferrara had a dominant week for the No. 1 Sea Gulls racking up 15 points on 12 goals with three assists. In the win over SUNY Geneseo on Wednesday, Ferrara tallied seven goals and an assist. On Sunday against Colorado College, Ferrara put another dominant performance scoring five goals and dishing out two assists to lead the Sea Gulls.
- Zack Mabry – Defense – SUNY Morrisville
Mabry was a defensive force for the Mustangs across two wins with teams in the SUNYAC. He collected eight ground balls and a season high five caused turnovers in the win over New Paltz, before adding a season best nine ground balls against Potsdam with another two caused turnovers on the week.
- Connor Garzone – Goalie – Tufts
Tufts allowed just five goals in a win at Stevens on Saturday and Garzone was stellar in goal. In three quarters of play (45 minutes), he stopped 13 of the 15 shots on goal that he faced for a .857 save percentage and 2.67 goals against average. He had six saves on seven shots in the first quarter as Tufts built a 6-1 lead.
- Riordan Muldoon – Midfield – Hood College
Rio Muldoon put up 13 points in 2 games (9G,4A). Led the Blazers in both categories. He is 5 points away from breaking our freshmen scoring record. Also, road hard to cause 5 CT's leading to extra possessions.
- Zach Bernstein – Midfield – Aurora University
Had seven goals, one ground ball, and two forced turnovers.
- Clay Yingling – Midfield – Bethany WV
Yingling tied the school record for most points in a single-game in Bethany's 27-2 win over La Roche. He had 13 points (7 goals and six assists).
