The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2022 Division II Dynamic Team of the Week accolades on Tuesday, March 22. Ten players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees are as follows:
- Jaxon Martin – Attack – Chowan University
10 Goals/14 points midweek followed up with 5 goals in a comeback win vs Coker. Continue to shoot a high %.
- Eric George – Attack – Chowan University
2-0 on the week with 9 points midweek & 7 Saturday including the game-winner.
- Tyler Eames – Attack – Saint Leo
Tyler Eames netted a career-high six goals off nine shots and added an assist to put up seven points against Frostburg State. The senior attacker from Whitby, Ontario placed 8-of-9 shots on target and picked up a groundball.
- Connor Young – Attack – University of Alabama Huntsville
Connor Young had a career week starting with going 1G and 1A with 1 GB, and following it up with going 5G and 1A on 6 total shots.
- Logan Stinson– Attack – Wilmington (DE)
Led the team to a 2-0 week, scoring 3 goals and 2 assists against St. Michael's. Then came back and second 7 goals (2nd most in program history) in a 15-10 win over Lake Erie.
- Aidan Lalonde – Attack – Mount Olive
Led UMO in scoring against Emmanuel – 5 goals and 1 assist.
- Hunter Coleman – FOGO – University of Alabama Huntsville
Won 18/26 with 6 gb's and one goal in loss vs #18 Lewis University. Won 22/28 with 9 gb's, 1 G in win against North Greenville University.
- Maxwell Freestone – Goalie – Florida Southern
Freestone played all 120 minutes in goal this week for the Mocs. He helped lead the Mocs to a 12-10 upset over #1 Le Moyne including making a season-high 12 saves and holding the Dolphins scoreless over the final 12:37 of the contest. Four of his 12 saves came in the decisive fourth quarter. He then made eight saves in the 19-14 come-from-behind victory over Lynn. He also earned a pair of caused turnovers on the week including one each against LMC and Lynn.
- Eskander Kian Ben Aissa – LSM – Maryville University
Helped the Saints to two wins. Had three GBs versus Embry-Riddle and one CT. Scooped five Ground Balls and had four CTs in the win over Montevallo. Scored his first career goal versus Montevallo.
- Jack Stone – Midfield – Lewis
Scored three of his four goals in the first half including one with the Flyers a man down. His four goals scored are a career-high.
